Save yourselves the head ache of trying to make a knock off kit fit well. The company, known as, "RaceOn USA" is know to make poor quality knock off kits that need a lot of body work to make them fit properly.

People here in the states advise against buying from the company as well. In addition to ...

Stay away from the 240sx brakes. To confirm what Veecee has stated in regards to the 240sx brakes, they are indeed smaller. All of the 240sx owners here in the states up grade the stock brake system to something larger.

Here in the states, the 240sx was not marketed as a sports car to keep the ...

Regular engine flushes along side the regular oil changes help clean out the internals. None the less I do agree with you, allowing the internals to get clogged with foreign debris is not good for the engine internals.

Unplug the vacuum hose running to the brake booster.

The R134a retrofit is easy. I did the conversion myself, in a matter of 30 min, with a retrofit kit that can be found at most auto parts stores. I have still got my old a/c hoses with the r134a nozzles still on them...if anyone wants them. If not check a local auto parts store.

errm, im not saying that i dont agree, but i dont agree.

sure, in theory it should weigh around the same, BUT for CF you need three layers max, while with fibreglass you would need 5 or more layers and probably more support webbing to get the same rigidity - fibreglass flexes a lot more

The ...

i thought it was the other way around. i thought the silvia had only fixed headlights and a bootlid, and the 180sx had flipup headlights and a glass hatch.

hence i thought the sil80 was named because of the combination of front end of a silvia (fixed headlights) and rear end of 180sx (hatchback ...

A fiberglass hood weighs about the same as a carbon fiber hood. Unless you can source out a hood made out of "Dry" carbon fiber as opposed to the typical "Wet" carbon fiber. If you can't find either hood cut the removing most of the webbing from underneath the hood will make things much lighter.

What about having the archs rolled, obviously this will necessitate an unwanted spendage of your hard earned cash though, just a thought.

It on the cards for the future but not now... If I roll the arches I will need a respray

When the car is running I'll go to a MAG place and try some ...

Wow, the cost of the collars is almost $50. If I weren't the only yank posting on this site I am sure the price would have jumped to at least R675 by now.

If I had some extra money I would jump into the auction, but I am currently living from one pay check to the next. Anyway I have already put too ...

What is the highest octane that is sold in SA? Here in the states most places sell 93 octane. A few sell 100+ octane.
