I don't know how hard you drive or what power your car makes, but remember Aluminiun melting point is quite low.

Although it should not be a problem.

Just remember to retorque it quite often, as the Aluminium will squish out after a while.

I don't know if you skimmed the manifold but if you didn't i'll start there, Freddie had s/s gaskets made and with the skimming and new gaskets it worked fine, I woulfd not rocomend fore gum, use normal sylecone....it works...

Firegum is really terible, it don't even last on a high compression N/A motor, I have had endless trouble, I'm now also going to make my own gasket, as nothing off-the shelf is available, but luckily I don't drive it daily, likeonce every few months.

I really think S/S would be a better option

You just have to remember that the reason for having a gasket to compensate the different thermal characteristic of the head and the cast manifold. They will expand differently so therefore cant be a face fit. If you are using stainless go check to see how it expands in relation to the cast manifold and head.

I used those perferated stainless gasket and no problem. You just have to re-torque them a few times in the beginning.

Sorry about the 20 Questions....

But ...

What boost are you running?

Is it still the stock exhaust manifold and turbo?

Do you have a boost gauge?

Are you using stock nissan gaskets?

Try to get the gaskets made from a couple of thin S/S sheets rivited together. Think mine comes from Midas. Try to replace the studs with new ones and always use NEW copper coted lock nuts. I also spend lots of $$$ and time taking off the S/S manifold until I tried the above. Never had problems with the cast manifold, but it is a good idea to check the mating surfaces.

Then use OEM, they should be better quality and ask Calibrator what sealer he uses, he should be using the best available with the stuff he builds.

Use those perferated stainless
These thing are shit...
Use nissan OEM and Copper Spray for the Head to Manifold gasket

Then also use a nissan gasket from the Manifold to turbo, Sealing with Fire-gun...

Thats what I use with-out an issue...
