As Freddy mentioned in my project D you'll c where I mounted my cooler.... from there I basically run the lines under the subframe but above my power-brace then to the cooler...
They are a little bit too long, but I made sure my pipes make nice and big turns and that there is lot's of place for flex, remember your pipes will also move as oil-pressure increases...
If you want to come have a look I'm in Centurion your more than welcome... I'll check if I have any pics of the lines
Remember after installing the cooler and before you start the car do the following...
* The Fittings in the adapter plate, put some thread tape on it! Turn them out of the aluminum adapter put thread tape on and fit them back.
* When fitting the lines to the cooler, put some multi-purpose grease on the adapter-fitting and the oil-cooler's fitting this will help with the initial seal
* Fill your oil-cooler up with oil to prevent the car from oil starvation.

was that recently? i could do 230 quite easily in complete stock s14, but i only did it once for maybe 2 to 5 minutes chasing a very modded RXI car leaving from wesbank one night.Dislex666 wrote:exactly as vlade said - and if i wanna do a topend run at 6k rpm for 20 minutes, i don't want the oil to get on the hot side....
(and yes - i have done runs like that at 240+ for extended periods)
My current tire set is only rated to 230/240 so I eased off at around 235km/h.
I'm sure I'll be able to get up to that speed a lot faster now and so should you d666

I'm getting a very nicely sized oil cooler, 19 rows if I'm not mistaken.

Plus the obligatory nismo thermostat so I should be covered for now.
