i just changed the plugs in my sx from an NGK BKR6EY to a BCPR6ES
which i read up was good for the car. i also just put a cone filter+adapter on.
my car is spluttering a bit but only slightly, it didnt do it before and im hoping it goes away....what could this be from? pls help.
must i take my car to a dyno shop or tuner to increase the boost?
and must i buy new plugs now, how do i make the gap 0.8?
im not sure on all this stuff so just need to make sure
The sputtering is because you have now increased your air flow , the car is running lean, I'd suggest 3 things, Walbro fuel pump, plug gap 0.6, reset ECU so that maf can better adapt to new air flow increase.

If you have a standard T25 turbo, 0.9 is said to be the most relieble boost that turbo can handle, as for going to a dyno, not really nessasary, AFM should be able to adapt after a reset to the new air flow....but a tuner can always set voltage on dyno which would be the best if you can.
No need for new plugs, take them out, use a feuler guage to measure the gap, tap the spark plug bridge slightly against something hard to decrease the gap untill guege is met.
Well you don't nessasary need to go for a walbro....but it is the best....you looking anything between R1250-1500 for the fuel pump, you can buy no names that would work, but many people don't trust them, I have never had a isssue though.
I personally think the t28 will handle 1 bar, many don't, if you can afford it, do the fuel pump and then take it to a good tuner to set up your afm on the dyno to be safe.
dude please i know you new to this so we dont want you messing up your car
get a boost controller can get a cheap one for 350 but rather spend the money on a electronic one
take the new plugs you just got get a feeler gauge from auto shop
set the fingets to 0.8 gap then tap the bottom of a plug gently until the feeler gauge can be slid in and out smoothly
or just ask the auto shop you got the plugs to show you how
haha thanx man, i also dont wanna mess up my car...would suck ass.
im gonna have a look for some boost controllers now. so all i need to do is shorten the gap. cool, thanx alot guys.
so its boost controller, reset ecu, plug gap 0.6-0.8mm and fuel pump?
