Hi skylow, are you still going the rb route...did some searching and it seems not too difficult...major problems are engine mounts if you use the s13 cross member...the gear box mount needs to be modded to fit as well as the prop shaft to be modded.... the worst prob for me is cutting the bonnet reinforcement to clear the motor. One other problem I think would be the calibration of the speedo, anyone got a work around on this?

Hi Reyn S, thanks for the info. a few more questions if I may....so if I understand correctly your s13 speedo worked properly when you fitted the ca18 speedo drive assy? The converter you speak of, do you have a link and a cost of it? Did you use the s13 cross member or the r33 one? Can the s13 diff be used in the rb conversion, are the ratios ok for road use? Are there any front suspension issues with the heavier rb, will stock front springs be ok or will it have to be coilovers?
Sorry for the 20 questions .....thinking of not going the sr route anymore but rather go with the rb25 and would like to iron out any potential problems.
Thanks

Works perfectly and is very easy to install.

Yes the speedo gear is the same and the speedo works 100%
I dont have a link any more but read what ljs14 wrote.
I used my S13 cross member and made new engine mountings to fit on the cross member.
I am running my standard diff no problems but in 5th gear on 240km/h it feels like it needs a 6th gear. The propshaft needs to be shortened and a new universal slip joint in the front going to the box.
I am running my stock suspension and i have a 60mm drop in the front and 55mm at the back it is a very bumpy ride i am getting coilovers in this month.
I am glade I went the RB way the only problem I have is heating problems but Im going to sort it out with a 4 core radiator I am currently running a 3 core BMW with 2 12" fans. The over heating only happens when I am doing hi speeds on hi revs for a long period of time.
I will post sum pics of my mountings and so.

Thats impressive, the motor after the polishing came out tops....
looks really good with the Greddy intake which I think is a must for this conversion. Is your motor standard, turbo, injectors, ecu etc?
I posted some time back on getting a SR20det front clip and my agent was not able to get a good one when he was over there and have now decided to get a RB front clip instead. I will use the r33 crossmember, loom, ecu and radiator and run it stock standard as my sx is my every day car, dont want to regret not going RB. As for the rev counter the front clips come with the cluster so maybe I can swop out the rev counter guts into the sx cluster...will see. I will try and get the r33 diff as I would like to keep the gearing std.
Thanks again
