Turbo flange question

Ive made my own turbo flange i want to know does the wastegate side on the turbo also has to have an outlet pipe to it or can i just cut n passage to the turbine side that the gas can go through there

ok you made a flange from the exh mani to the turbo correct?

then you'll need a downpipe for the exh side of the turbo. is the wastegate internal?

No i made the turbo exhaust flange and yes its internal waste gate so i only want to make one hole in the flange for the exhaust .the wastegate has its own compartment so want to cut a passage from the wastegate side to the turbine side that the gasses can go through there

That should work, just take the exhaust housing off the turbo.
Another option is to make the exhaust pipe a bit oval to cover both exits.
