Hey guys i saw an article about a guy that used an ca18de exhaust cam on the intake side of a ca18det because the exhaust cam has 0.7mm more lift than the intake cam and he gaind 15 kw

I know of this mod yes, but 15kW...a bit ambitious maybe.

I know Oscar(Tanaka) is running 186kWfw with CA18DE cams(Intake and exhaust). But he has got a HUGE FMIC and a 76mm downpipe and exhaust system, and then a few other tweaks and small things like an HKS mushroom filter and and and...

I dont think on a stock CA18DET will gain 15kW out of that mod. :?

Dude your running a CA18DE so you have the Jap Spec Cam already.

This is a normal international mod when you cant get hold of a CA16DE cam or CA18 cam also you will need cam gears to get the cam timing correct.

Also the most seen is 12RWKW on a pretty well worked CA18

Yeah well then it depends on how modded it is... :lol: :lol: :lol:

But there is a limit, cams can only take it that far.

LOL don't under-estimate cams but I have never seen any dyno done before and after with more then 12 RWKW most gain in mid-range with the CA18 cam.

This has been covered a million times so I think everything has been said :roll:
