does anyone have a clue why my motors rev limitor kicks in way to early? it limits it at around 5500 6000rpm

With the amount of info available I'm going to guess boost cut.

Re: ca18det rev limitor
1) Set your timing properly before you nuke your rebuilt motor.
2) Do you have the stock T25? running stock boost? I'm guessing not.
Boost cut: When your MAF maxes out the ECU cuts fuel to prevent the over-boost as your fuel system cannot support that much air into the motor.
PS: You say it's the rev limiter, but it could also be that your cam timing is out one tooth and the motor simply cannot increase rpm - this is a common mistake when working on CA's.

Re: ca18det rev limitor
Kwl will do but i got a feeling im a tooth out on my timing. When i set the timing with a timing light it must match up with the second ridge right?

Re: ca18det rev limitor
I checked and mine is way out and adjusting the cas still doesn't bring it to the second mark it must be a tooth out
