Faulty window

Post by Calvin »

Hi guys,

I have a problem with drivers side electric window. it goes down fine, but it doesnt go back up. I have to fiddle with the switch for a while, push it down, then up quickly to get it to go. Is it the switxh or something else thats faulty?

new relay box or dry joints need to be re solderd or clean contact points(in the relay box), had same problem, took it apart cleand the two switch contact points with 800 sandpaper and working 100%.

Stripped it. The relay box doesnt click on the up movement. eventually it does and the window goes up. any ideas how much the new relay is?

Its your window switch that is making kak strip that and use sand paper to clean the contacts

Well i opened both up and cleaned them out with sandpaper and an electronic cleaner spray, still no joy. Going to have to look at replacing them. I will test a second hand one first and see which is faulty

Are both sides not working or just the one

Its just the drivers side door that doesnt work. The passenger window works perfectly
