Re: 300zx turbo OEM pistons
it will bump up the capacity to around 2050cc... compression pretty much the same... but the shit is you need to bore your block!

Re: 300zx turbo OEM pistons
Will raise compression slightly... dish is apparently less than SR and then the bigger size will raise compression. Well thats what my research told me before...

Re: 300zx turbo OEM pistons
bigger bore = less compression ^^
compression is very easy to fix just replace different thickness HG it sorted!

Re: 300zx turbo OEM pistons
That is inaccurate. thicker head gasket yes will drop but bigger piston squishing more volume of mix into the same (or very close to same depending if you have done some mods) combustion chamber = higher pressure and hence higher compression.aep886 wrote:bigger bore = less compression ^^

Sorry did not mean to thread jack... free bump.

Re: 300zx turbo OEM pistons
oh well... have you see the Vtec pistons? there is no dish and it actually have a raised piston center... (i can be wrong here, but i have build a few engines and from firends car that is what i notice) i was talking about thinner HG^^ to raise not to drop^^

Re: 300zx turbo OEM pistons
ok so more to the point what will you need to do to get these in the SR? and will they work with the SR Rods?
