Hi guys
i am in need of new brushes and a new solenoid on my CA18DET.
This is kinda urgent. Anyone that can help me please or know where i can get parts in cape town ?

take brush holder and brushes to midas they will have it

cool i did today and also got new solenoid for it will put back tomorrow and it should be fine again

All the brushes and solenoid cost me R185 for it ......
But still just get a clicking sound from the solenoid maybe try a new battery or just get a new starter. :(

check all you cables
1. Grounding
2. Continuous positive 12v
3. Signal 12v when key is turned

took the whole starter apart this morning everything seems in order but i almost are 100% sure it is a grounding problem will check every possibility.

PROBLEM SOLVED

Thanks guys car is running 100% now after standing for 3 months...LOL away from home for work.

O yes sorry.

My mates looking after the car had me stripping and overhauling the whole starter and never told me that the battery is dead.
anyway now i know starter is good for a while :)

hahahaha....shit man, as u say, starter is good now but could have set that money to a ne battery...the small things hey...
