S13 VIN location

Heya guys,

before you read my post, I did search online & on the forums for a solution. I did manage to find some information, but I thought I'd rather get up to date information.

I'm looking at buying a S13 very soon, but when I went to look at the car, we couldn't find the VIN number.
I went online to have a look at where the possible mounting spots are, but everywhere we looked we just couldn't find it.

There is a plate on the firewall under the front window, on the driver's side, which has a very long (I think 16/17 digit) code, with the car's weight etc underneath that number.
The number matches with the engraved number on the chassis. I believe the last 8 digits to be the VIN number, but I forgot to match that with the papers.. Yes I'm an idiot.

Please could anyone shed some light on this for me. The car is neat and very well looked after, I would hate for something like this to scare me off from not buying it,
granted everything else is in order.

That whole number is the Vin number.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I'm going to have a look again tomorrow, and hopefully the numbers all add up.

Vehicle purchased and all went well.

I'm SUPER happy with the SX, I've driven it about 150km now, and I just keep getting more impressed with its capabilities.
