The motor was running 100% left it for a month due to redoing timing (which is a tooth out) put everything back together and now cylinder 2 is not firing, iv got spark and it seems im getting 12v to my injector what els could cause the cylinder to be dead all of a sudden. the spark plug was balck when i pulled it out had this issue before and was injector plug i think but now nothing i do helps. Any ideas please??

im getting a good spark off the plug but will swap it over with another one coil pack is good i dont know about injector the thing is i had this exact problem when the motor first went in same cylinder everything dont think its injector anything else you can think of?

>Swap the coil packs around to see if the problem stays or travels, then you know if it is the packs or not
>If it stays on the same cylinder then perhaps by working on the engine one of the wires going to the coil pack for that cylinder broke off somewhere? Test the wires with a multimeter.
>Other wise that injector is the problem if the signal for it is coming through. Perhaps you could swap the injectors around too.
If swapping around these bits and this stays on the same cylinder it will probably be something a miss with the wiring. Check the connectors to see if they are clean and make contact.
I'm sure after this you will have found the culprit.
just to clarify how i measured is right and not a floating voltage
--across the injector plug 13v (multimeter).
--positive from plug and chassis test light comes on.
--negative from plug to positive on battery terminal test light comes on not to bright like not getting full 12v but pulses bright dim bright dim but not at its max brightness and never turns off.
--with test light between both points on plug ...........nothing??
