Best version of the SR20 swap into S13?

Post by Yakuza »

Hey guys

Im seeking some advice on a future swap for a SR 20. The question is wheter to buy a S13 red or black top,14 blacktop or 15 blacktop motor? The easiest the more effiecient motor will be?
And what motor is best bang for buck for keeping stock internals and spicing things up with add ons?? How readily the different parts would be available?

Any info with regards to the SR motor and gearboks will be greatly appreciated! Im new with the swap side of things.

Kind regards
HAnno

IF you find an S15 SR20 buy it. Else buy an S14 SR20 - they rare already as the importers don't want to bring them and if they do they are R12000-R16000. And yes there are some worthwhile differences between the 2 starting with the type of coils, BB turbo...

Phoned about 10 different places today no one even has the S14 SR in stock some don't even know the S15 sr.... Decided I will go the S14 route... Just need some help and inspiration. What do you guys think of bringing in a S14a front clip? Wouldn't that be cheaper? Cos a motor and gearbox is 14k and a frontclip around 21k.

Thanks for the input P

Kind regards

If you can get a front cut for 21k then do it. All wiring.ecu, brakes, afm plus you can sell the left overs to make something back.
