Both rear tyres running off on the inside, help??

Post by Yakuza »

Hey guys and girls. As per the above mentioned problem. My tyres has 10000km and is 'gaar'. It seems to walk off almost on the side wall... Looks like suspension i9s soggy and thus sagging a bit... Or the previous owner could have bent the diff..But I dont know... Please any tips on what it can be and what I can do test etc?? Or what I must add on my shopping list??

Your running the incorrect camber on yor tires. Take it into the tire shop and let them set it correctly.

Phone Hi Q next to Dastek opposite Waterkloof Airbase. Speak to Naas. They have worked on SX before. Tel 0123474003 / 0123474004. Do not tell them I refered you, because I do not get kickbacks. I was happy with the work they did for me and someone else on the forum also uses them.
A word of advice. Always go with on any testdrive any technician take your sx for.

Hey guys thanks for the input!! But I stil need some advice.....

So I changed both rear tyres coz they said I have to wheels were rotating on the steel part of the tyre... Took it for alignment, and there my problem arose.... Everything is all good and well except camber.. At the front its out with 1.3 degrees each side and the rear is out with almost 3 degrees.. So me and the technition cheked and came to the realisation that the car was probably dropped with shorter springs, cause the car sits much much lower than a standerd SX. Thus the car did not sag and they said my shocks are not kapoet..We tried at 2 different places to adjust camber and it was adjusted too MAX.

Now my big quistion is what do I doo???

First, Naas the owner said he could help me ou to get the camber right by making custom poly bushes for the camber plates and adjusting the shocks a bit(mainly the mounts to rise the car) R2000

Second, I can get nbrand new BC suspension for R9300 the ((brseries)

Thirdly, must I buy a camber set from OPR where you can only set the rear camber and rear suspension for about R3000 ..

Does some one have another option because now my new tyres are just gona where off still.. PLZ guys some input again..

All you have to do is slot the hole where the camber rod adjusts

Coil overs will not help camber in the rear if you buy coils you will have but the adjustable arm set

Poly bushes will also do sweet eff all

So cheapest mod slot the holes by 5mm and you will get that extra 3deg but best would be a full suspension upgrade

I'd deffinately just go with a fully adjustable alignment arm setup, not too expensive and you can do whatever you want with it. So when/if you change to coilovers you can adjust and if you start using your car on the track you can start fine tuning the settings till you are happy with how the car handles.
