Thanks Gary for that. I just spoke to Sanjay. He seems happy & I also think its a good buy. Now we have evenmore SX drivers....YYeeaaa!!!Gary57 wrote:Hi Donny hows it going?? How the car going?? Bring the car back to my dad, he has the history of fixing the car. The over fueling I am sure it is just the setting on the AFM.
I sold a sx to the other guy that was after your yesterday. he got a nice one aswell. Should be on the forum soon.
Steer From the Rear !!

HI GUYS, THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE
THE CAR IS STOCK 100% ACCORDING TO MY KNOWLEDGE
I PICKED IT UP THIS MORNING AND DROVE IT BELOW BOOST TO GIVE
THE FIRE GUM SOME TIME TO BOND, DONT REALLY KNOW IF THAT HELPS.... THOUGH
I THINK THE MANIFOLD MAY BE WARPED, WE USED INDIVIDUAL GAKSETS THIS TIME AS PER TECH..
GARY THAT MORNING WE MESSED AROUND WAS JUST AFTER I PICKED IT UP AND BY MONDAY MORNING IT WAS LEAKING AGAIN.
IF IT PACKS UP AGAIN , THEN ILL CALL YOU TO GET A HOLD OF YOUR DAD.
AS I MENTIONED I DONT REALLY WANT TO SPEND TO MUCH ON THE ENGINE AS IT STANDS, BECAUSE I WANT AN
RB 26DETT CONVERSION BLADY EXPENSIVE BUT OH SO GOOD
AND YES IT WILL BE A STOCK ENGINE WITH STOCK TURBOS
SO IM ACTUALLY GOING TO SELL mY CA18DET TO HELP WITH CASH
ONCE I SORT THE MANIFOLD OUT

not if you know the right people.
an r33 gtr front cut lands in this country for less than 20 grand. but then remember that the importers still have to add margins to their costs, so it does increase a bit.
but a front cut gives you the engine, the gearbox with its prop-yoke, it gives you a radiator, brake master cylinder, brake calipers and discs, accelerator cables clutch master cylinder, crossmember, etc. everything that you would need for the conversion!

i thought you meant way more than that!
cos there are people out there that think an RB25det conversion at minimum will cost over 50k. i think its bollocks to be honest, but then i do have the knowledge and facilities available to do it myself!!!
i mean i dont have to pay someone 20k just to do the conversion for me! but thats back to the "leave it to the pros/do it yourself" "discussion" that we keep on having.

Andre conradie quoted me approx R60 k
but i still want to negotiate with him, its abit heavy
but bear in mind that an RB26 engine alone sell for 20k
plus you need an RB25 gearbox for +- 5k
and again it still just a stock motor, but it should put out 250kw on the wheels, and according to the info on the net a s13 with a stock RB26dett
runs 12 sec
Also the engine itself can handle 300kw on stock internals easly
besides once youve owned a six cylinder car you cant go back to 4cyl
i miss that tone
and the best part is that an Rb26 can rev to 8500rpms
what you guys think

there are many people interested.
but to get them all together with their own funds at the same time is going to be nigh-on-impossible!
at least 3 of my friends want to do it, and another has completed his conversion (RB25det) with 200rwkw.
the s13 is transformed into a fantastic car with that RB. it seems more sure-footed (but probably because of his tein coilovers - i would be a bit worried with stock suspension), and very quick. but just as quick to lose rear wheel traction, and therefore it deserves lots of respect from its pilot!!!
