Thanks Hennie, if only I could make her real and magically spring a unbreakeble sx.....I'll be sprincling all over.
I pay R200 for a 25L meth Gary, what do you pay, we found a place in joburg that sells it for about R 160 or something but it will be more petrol driving there and not to mention the traffic, I'll settle for R200 per 25L

My bad here. I meant to say forget it when it comes to w/m injection.

I wonder what the diffs would be if we use ethanol instead of methanol...
Forget it. Exclamation
explain why please!
Methanol is a better anti-detonant than ethanol. When using w/m method.
When changing your primary fuel to ethanol will be a different story. So, my answer is relevant to w/m only. And if I cant really source methanol to mix, I believe ethanol must then do the job for us.
The w/m is great for on demand octane increase. When combined, water/methanol goes though a chemical reaction (if you mix your own you will see the fluid gets warm) that keeps the two suspended or mixed for a longer time then Ethanol and gas. Note that ethanol is more prone to evaporation then methanol so the octane benefit of this type of mixture will decrease over time.
Ethanol content will weaken your cocktail. May actually cause you to richen the AFR's.
Ok, that was now all related to water/methanol injection and not changing your gas fuel to something else.
