Rb25 neo convertion- Advice on Dictator ecu

Post by angelo123 »

Hi guys
:?
Need advice I did a Rb convertion . Everything fitted car starts nice pulling it in and out of my garage. Yesterday when i try to pull it out it did'nt want to start back firing at times, The orange and green light on ecu flickkering together when i am cranking. Any of you guys have a idea what it could be. I did check coils no spark there but injectors pulsing. Any advice and what is the meaning of the orange light on the ecu.

Thanks do long guyz

you just diagnosed your problem right there NO SPARK
no point in injectors pulsing is no spark

green is trigger and orange is home reset it should flash

check your ignitor or mayb you fouled your plugs

thanks bro.
The coils has build in ignitors. The coills get 12v and it ground properly. so you i must reset the box. do you think cas can be fualty.

cas is fine if you getting the green and orange lights to flash

are you getting a 5volt signal to the coils?

Hi budy. This something stupid but we tend to forget to look if there is enough power to dictator, if there is 10v it won’t start had the same problem before lights come on but nothing happens.

If the engine backfires it IS getting spark. Just not at the right time.
Your phasing is out although having said that, my car does exactly the same.

I have reset the phase angle disc within the cas and I know its timed right.
I believe that the signal from the cas needs modifying for the ecu to read it properly every time.

Possibly a pull up or down resistor to give the ecu a "clean" signal.
A pain in the arse, I know.

Hi
Im not so well educated with electronics but with regards to pull up and down resistor can you give me idea where to install it in the harness and how to and what size resistor.

Thanks
