CA18DET- Forged CP pistons and Vanderlinde worked head

Post by Riekert »

hey guys

Got a CA18DET for sale. Complete engine minus a turbo.

Its got new bearings but motor is smoking

Specs as follows:

CP racing pistons
Cometic Head Gasket
ARP Head bolts
Head flowed and ported by van der linde developments
New bearings

Selling for R5000

Parts alone are worth more than that.

Why is it smoking? Have you done a leak down test? Comp test?

Hey Riekert, unfortunately my building project has screwed me a little...as usual...price quoted and price to get the job done is 2 different things...so my luck is out on this...

damn... all good.

Think I might just hold on to it for a bit...

Rebuild and possibly drop into a little 1200 Toyota bakkie ;)
