Hi to all
I own a 92 200sx sr13 and the car does not accelerate smoothly
between 3000 to 4000rpm.Below and above this range its perfect.
When accelerating slowly it less noticeable, but as soon as more than half throttle is applied it becomes very annoying.
Any suggestions?
Regards
Riaan

Very likely that your CAS might need overhauling. Look here:

Also check our plugs. I had to change to a hot plug.......or cold plug.......er...I forget which one.

Could be a few things, change plugs and petrol filter and from there start checking fuel presure and so forth....

Changed the plugs from 6es to 7es,made no diff, will replace the fuel filter this w-end, opened up the cas, bearings still perfect, so is the rotor plate ,anything specific I should check on the cas?

Yes, check the cas according to the manual. Keep the harnass connected and turn the cas shaft left and right. With the ignition switched to on, you should hear the injectors opening and closing??

download the service manual and check everything.

its more than likely to be something thats related to something else, and so on and so on, until you find that the reason that your RS13  jerks between 3-4krpm is because your glasses are not set right.

so go to an optometrist...

i know my logic is wierd, but you will find that once you can focus properly on the words in the manual, you will realise that you should have checked the CAS in a clockwise rotation, not an anticlockwise one!!!
