Fuel Gauge / Speedometer Hassels

Post by RynHelturus »

Hey guys!

When I got my SX last year, the speedo and the fuel gauge were both broken. Didn't mind much at the time, but now that I use her as my daily, the fact that the fuel gauge is borked is quite annoying. I took her to a local auto electrical place just so they can check whats not working.

Apparently the fuel rail assembly bit (the part to where the fuel pump sits on, inside the tank), has a broken sender unit, or something similar. Nissan cant get hold of any for me (*cough* not the mention the price...), and they recommended I look for a second hand one.

The speedo's cog in the gearbox is apparently broken but thats something for later, more worried about fuel now. I dont suppose anybody here would be willing to help me out / point me in the right direction? Not really sure where to go other than ask here. Thanks guys! You're all legends!!

Power is nothing without control,
Control is not fun without power.
Traction is over rated.
