Not 2 sound like a retatrd but what's the difference.external an internal? I drive a S13 so what would mine take?!

its more of a safety thing, flows more than stock pump, so you always have enough fuel at required pressure in the fuel rail... no fuel = lean = melted pistons

I guess its worth adding, that if your upgrading your fuel pump (be it ext or int) its also worthwhile adding a swirl pot/ anti surge system.
Even more so in turbo'd cars than N/A. And evenmore so if youre drifting or cornering hard.
This will reduce the chance of your AFR leaning out when doing so.
