Urgent Dicktator Help Required

Post by POWDER »

Hey Guys,

I need bigtime help, Dicktator is wired and getting spark, have replaced Blown module and have a new coil pack running now instead of SR coils. Car still cuts out at 4500RPM as if limiting even though rev limiter is set to 7100. Brand new dicktator ignition module getting very hot very quick, running the 2 coil pack on a 4 ch module on ch 1 + 2.

What can be wrong? It seems I can't get to the point of this and like I'm never gonna get it running.

Please help !!!!

what type of coil pack you running? two cylinders per coil?
cyl1 and 4 / and cyl 2 +3
when you say 4ch, you mean 4 coil / 2 trigger module?
if so you would need to wire 2 triggers from dicktator to module
yellow/black to input 1 and wire 1 of the two outputs triggered by input 1 to coil1/4
then connect yellow/green to input 2 and 1 of the 2 outputs triggerd by input 2 to coil 2/3

hope this helps
remember some opel coil packs dont work with ignitors (alu base)

Module sitting against firewall
Don't know what load
Module earthed directly to chassis with short 20cm lead
