Well , I finally got around to dropping my SX at Dynotech for remapping of the management with the new turbo and higher boost.

I am like a kid on Christmas eve , can't wait to get the "BEAST" back !!

I will post power readings and arse whippings when done !!!

Yeah , walked in there yesterday with "houding" because of my windgat SX and got met by not 1 but 2 RX7's and a Noble ,amongst other things.

Got humbled pretty quickly.

Dyno tuning SR20DET

Got the car back this afternoon , and now I can also highly reccomend Izak at Dynotech. The car is running beautifully now.

As I originally suspected the original dyno kw reading that the previous owner gave me was bullshit. Stock standard SR20DET with the standard T25G turbo and he told me 204 kw's.

I haven't done anything to the engine itself , it is still standard , I have only added a WR280 T28/ T3 turbo .
The car is running now at .9 bar and putting out 191 kw's and 360 nm.

The nice thing is that it now runs smoothly all the way up to the redline with ease.

Very impressed with Izak. Now I am on the hunt for ways to get more power without breaking the bank !!

IDEAS ?!?!?? :?:

byno sheet?
Power seems bit low for 0.9 and nm bit high.
Mine made 245rwkw 392nm on 0.95
Redtop or VVL Sr?
mods?

Dyno sheet shows 191 kw @ 5713 rpm and 348 nm @ 4733 rpm

It was over 200 kw's , but Izak said that it was "pinging" , so he brought it back down.
It is a redtop SR and I haven't done anything to the motor, it is still standard.

your 245 kw at the wheels seems a bit high. What turbo and mods were you running ?

like to see the graph of the power to compare it.
Check my garage, most of it is listed there.

I will take a picture of the printout shortly and load it up , but the power line runs fairly straight , not as much of a spike as yours.

The turbo isn't what I originally expected it to be. Still runs bloody well though. Basically no lag at all, from pull off smooth power all the way , no hidden surprises , just runs pretty quick.

Had my evo on that dyno ,It reads lower then most of the CT dyno's .
If you make 190kw then its very strong.

My kw is low but the NM is high like yours

Look at Luc's kw ,he gets over 300kw on other dyno's

Thanks man.

I suspected as much , and as much as I would like to tell everyone that the "BEAST" makes a kajillion kw's , the proof is on the road.

The car runs smoothly like a bat out of hell !

At least now I have a baseline , I am very impressed with Izak and will take it back to him everytime that I modify something for another run on the same dyno , then I can see improvements.

Strong like Bull 8)

Congrates

just make sure that you get Dynotech to get a reading after every mod,to see what the improvement is. If you do it elseware and you get 250kw for a small mod you know its a little out

My Sx makes 268kw on that dyno so i know its accurate too 8)

That is exactly why I said that I will only take it to Izak , that way I know it is the same machine and the readings will reflect a gain or a loss.

Your's is Lekker strong !!

RB I presume ?
