Bikirom Help

Post by Riekert »

Hey guys! so I bought this bikirom chipped ECU about 2 years back... never used it... plugged it in a couple of days ago to get it sorted for the first start and nothing... the PC doesn't want to pick it up. all the drivers are installed ect. car was switched on thus the ECU will be on but nothing....

Can anyone help me? I'm even willing to ship it to you if you can test it... I just need a answer and don't have R4k to shell out on a nistune system right now... :(

I have one on my car currently and the amount of headaches and frustration it causes is not worth it. mine works sometimes... also when it works it only works for about 30-60sec  and then all the live trace and data logging crashes. Sometimes the ECU does not show you the right block on the map it actually is reading from. Datalogging requires constant un-plugging and reconnecting. If yours already does not work don't bother.

Software is also crap. Which board do you have? type 1,2 or 3?
I am using a type 2 on a S14 SR20 ECU - 74F01

Go have the car tuned and chipped nicely. otherwise buy Nistune or buy Apexi Power-FC. I know cash is a problem... always is but bite the bullet and save and do it.
