hey guys

want to do the z32 brake upgrade with the 4pot front, 2pot rear calipers.

just wanted to know what i will need for the upgrade?

calipers
disks
pads

then i'm not sure, will i have to get:

new brake lines (and must they be z32 brake lines or 200sx ones?)
brake master cylinder, will i have to upgrade to the z32 one?
will i need the z32 e brake assembly and lines

anything else?

thanks

calipers f+r
rotors f+r
pads f+r
.
if you have a bm44 brake master it wil work for upgrade bm50 is better peddal feel and response
.
brake lines are good upgrade helps with peddal feel and response
.
if you have drum hand brake like most sa sx's its the same as z32/r32 no need to change.
.
5 stud conversion?if not you can dril the rotors to 4 stud

I did the conversion also-still got stock BMC which is 16/17,I need the 1 1/16 that the Zx came out with.
Pedal feel is good with SS lines-stock lines won't work.
Front rotors is very difficult to find if you not going bigger than S14 .
a set of floating rotors will be about 6K plus 1.5 K for the offset bracket
if you can't do it yourself.

I have a set of front calipers available-3K.
Rebuild kits also-R450
the rears is already sold -but can sourch some if you need.

If you add up the conversion it will be
Calipers 5K
rotors 4K
SS lines 1.5K
Yellow stuff 2.5K
Ate racing brake fluid-R300
Rebuild kits R900
Respray calipers -R500
ZX BMC- R1500.

So it will quickly add up to a set of wilwood calipers and rotors in my opinion.
It is totally worth it when you feel the difference though in stopping power compared to stock, and looks ofcourse.

Its for front and rear rebuild kits and brakepads.
When those calipers land you going to pay at least 1K import duties.
And Im talking everything new except the calipers, not 2nd hand stuff.
Also crossdrilled rotors,not OEM.
Riekert please tell me where you going to find 4 rotors plus shipping for 2K,I need a set also!

The pedal gets a bit long after a few laps, but normal driving you don't really notice it.

In my opinion the best upgrade is a set of 350Z brembo's and the stock discs. The are a bolt on fit and way bigger than the puny S14 front discs.
S14 brakes and rotors look pathetic with 18" wheels on your car.
Also 350Z pads are R500 cheaper than S14 Yellow stuff from dealers in Jhb.
