Have you checked the ECU for fault codes? didn't think so. you should start there.

At what RPM does it cut out? A faulty AFM wont let your engine rev over 2000rpm...but it doesn't cut out however.

Ok can you give us a break down on everything you've checked. exactly what the problem is? ECU code 55? your sure?
checked the compression, checked the spark plugs, checked the coils, tested the CAS, checked the fuel pressure??

Check your inter cooler piping.

I had the same thing a couple of months ago, i drove home one day and the next day when i started my car it started fine but when i tried to rev it it just died.
I started to stress that i broke something then i noticed that i popped a boost pipe of by my inter cooler.

have a look you never know

any loose cabling going towards the coils?

Othewise check the vacuum lines... they tend to screw around too.

to check your fuel pressure you will need a t piece pipe and a fuel pressure gauge which you prob dont have, but if you do you should check the pressure and the inlet fuel line just after your fuel filter and then on the return line

I had a similar problem, it was my plugs, they were wet.

I second the intercooler piping. Would be caused by the AFM reading air but not going to the engine due to big leak, engine dies immediately.
