VG30E and VG30ET

For the boffens....

I am finding it very hard to find a VG30ET(SOC turbo) motor, there are many VG30E motors for sale though.

Compression difference: VG30E = 9
VG30ET = 7.8

Compression pressure : VG30E = 1.196
VG30ET = 1.138

Bore and stroke are the same.

What would be the big worry about adding a turbo and bigger injectors, and obevously turbo manies.....do you think the motor will still be relyeble and how would it respond to say 1 bar boost vith the right fuelling and so on...?

You will have to do something with the compression ratio at the very least, 1 bar would probably need new internals.

Should work. I have 3 x VG30ET motors here. Not sure if there are internal differences other than maybe pistons.

MMMMM...are they in good condition....?

is it the later engines "W" blocks?

T3 or T25 turbo's?

What would you ask for an engine?

copression wuld be the only issues.but these motors are so strong your could turbo charge it but not as high as 1 bar for reliability.or else change pistons to get the proper compression. we changed the heads of a on a vg30ET for port and polished wth bigger cams from a VG30E and it still runs well every day.so the heads are prbably exactly the same .

The cams is the same...eroepean engines in any case, the head as well, the only diffs according to the manual is the valves "angle" where it seats and the thickness of thbottom of the valve because of the angle.

I am planning to....just need the funds to be right first....I've been speaking about this swop for a while...if I need to, I can always add the forged piston kit for the Z32....when I win the lotto...

From what i read, the std motors are good for 450-500hp. Guys do 450whp on std internal VG30ET's in their Z31's.
The ones i have, has T3 turbo's on. One must go into my Sani 4x4, will get a RB25DET B/B turbo & 370 inj's for quick responce and about 200kw.
R4000 if u want one.

You don't perhaps have gearboxes aswell?

No, they are pricey, R6K for box with flywheel & clutch from Mikes place in Ctn.
