ABS Problems

Post by VoLcOm »

Hey guys, i need some advice please. My anti lock light came on and my abs pump is not switching off when i switch off the ignition, it keeps on running. I had to plug it out. Any ideas what can be wrong?

its not even so much a question of how much, its even just gonna be a mission to find the controller in question.. unless you can get vaseline at discount and want to ask the stealership :(

anyways with the symptoms you described it i would guess at one of 2 things like i said, most prolly the controller, or might even be the abs unit itself (shorted solenoid, contacts ect.)

the FSM describes a procedure whereby the abs ecu can be put in diagnostic mode , maybe it will give a few error codes which will shed more light on the issue..
