Engines...

I came accross these two ca18 engines today in japan auto that ive never seen before?

What car does this come out of if the intercooler sits there?

Sory for the bad quality. Dont know if this is a fwd setup?

yup. well the first pic looks like the FWD version, but i have never seen the other one.

i reckon its also FWD but without intercooling. the intake comes from the exhaust side, and there is a pipe for an air filter from that side too, so i assume its turbo. also notice the cooling fins on the intake pipe that goes into the throttle body!!!!

Both are FWD CA18DET

One is the inter-cooled and the other is the non inter-cooled CA
They are the same as our but very different in small parts

My import engine I bought looked like the first one... Euro's one was suppose to look like that but it had a shit load of parts missing.

Yip its a FWD one, that came out of the U12 Bluebird

Ummm after looking again at the second pic, also FWD motor, but its the earlier one without the TMIC
