Hey, I have a problem when the car is warm but I'm now not to sure what it could be... I fixed the water Temp sensor and the car still sort of wants to cut out when stopping at robots... I also notice the car is back firing almost every time I change gears and when tapping off the petrol...

Does anyone know whats potting???

I use lots of fuel like this, not great with the ever increasing fuel price...lol

I had a similar problem once, car would cut out or idle will drop right down when I stopped, my cam was one tooth out. Check your cam setting.

Hi, shot but I have checked the vac lines and found nothing wrong...

I heard from a guy at NDS in East London this weekend that it could be the BOV but how do i check that its closed....I feel it and its feels closed but when I rev the car and the revs climb the valve gets sucked in a little and closes better and when I release it it blows but still sits just a little away???

please advise a shot so much for the info!!!!

there is your problem right there the bov if it not a full sequential bov and you running std management and maf then you screwed youll never idle right and when you de excelerate to a stop it will cut out on you do yourself a favour and get a excell super sequential bov they roughtly R700 and they wont mess up your idle but the best would be a full recirculate bov where the bov dumps back into the air system after the air flow sensor

the prob is your car is calculating fuel for the amount of air being sucked thru the maf and now that correct air ratio is mesd up by you always having a leak in your system so you running very rich hence the back fire on deexceleration

hope this helps search for the bov mod reikert did excell ssq in mods section

Well its been a few months weeks and a day or two since we spoke about this....

My car was running fine after a while and was perfect to say the least, then my fuel pump broke or didnt work anymore and I replaced it with a HP Walbro 255LPH pump and since then I have no been able to get the car to idle when the car is at running temp and coming to a stop street....could it be the fuel pump relay or the throttle possition sensor or the AAC what ever that is, I have thought it may be the BOV as Mical has said but if it was working all these months with that BOV why now....no offence Mical:)

I have searched the net flat and nothing...

PLEASE HELP?!?!?.....thanks in advance...

Check for leak in IC and vacuum piping.

Remove BOV, block off the left over pipes and holes and run the car, if the problem has gone then you know it's down to that.

Also double check all of your piping for leaks

Thanks, I will try that this weekend and see what happens....

I dont have any leaks in the vacuum pipes so I doubt its that, the car runss fine all the time while driving and is fine when starting and warming which tells me its something to do with the valve that opens when the aircon is on or fan kicks in....

hi eurostar.

I have EXACTLY the same problem...have had it for some time now.
I have changed most of the mentioned items...even got Greddy BOV...
Izak at dynotech assumes that it might be the ignitor module...so thats what ill be changing next, if only i could find one...

as soon as my motor heats up it acts this way...

If you have one at your disposal , change it and please let me know of the results.

Hi Point,

I will have a look around for one, my car started to do this only after the fuel pump packed up and now with the new one in Walbro 255lph I am having problems.....I also find that the car is not pulling well when hot and it stumbles under full taps....what you think could be the issue, I have new pump new FPR, new fuel filter and its like I have fueling problem.....chacked the ECU for codes and all is good it said.....code 55.

so a little confused:)

have to say im just as confused...but i have to tell you that the more you explain the prob the more its the same as mine ,,, car has all the prob yours have..also reacts the same under load.i initially thought it was my feulling too ... dynotech sez my feulling is just fine when i had the car tuned with new injectors .... but they say something is wrong with spark....
I need to find a module..!..process of ellimination now , eish
