Hi
This has been covered before with the below link
http://200sx.za.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4530&start=0
This wont give you much indication with cost but will tell you most of what you need hardware wise .
Cost will depend on what you have allready ie ecu, intercooler etc and of coarse LABOUR
RB25SX on this forum can do the swop for you with mountings, piping fitting but depending on what management you go for tuning will have to be sorted out ,We use Rudeboy (this Forum) to map for us , You either courier the car to PE of pay for him to come down to map(tune) for you ,Still cheaper then taking your car to a 'reputable' shop who will charge you a small fortune and not sort the map the car properly ,Believe me there is alot of guys on this forum unhappy with the CT shops work .
He road maps the car then fine tunes it on the dyno ,NOT the other way around

can you see how effective the backward nissan way of doing things really works.
my 5c... if you gonna go the rb route do it properly the first time round, its way cheaper, read ALL the post of who done this swop and educate yourself on what will go wrong at some point ,and try and avoid that, but wounce you tasted rb , sr is a thing of the past ( dont be ofended sr guys)

hey guys, thanks for the help and input, it just seems to be quite out of my budget, i think a strong SR20DET motor could be a much more viable option, what input do u guys have on this? does the s13 SR20DET use the same gearbox as the CA18 motor, or does it use a different one?5 or 6 speed?thanks guys

Try get the SR20 motor and box together ,It(box) will be good up to 350 kw ,Over that it will break .
It is a better option and you can make big power with the sr motor if you willing to spend .
Correct me if im wrong but the stock SR internals can handle 220-250kw with bolt ons .

If thats on the wheels then im not that far out
Mikes place in Epping has pretty much any engine you looking for ,Just take someone who knows what they looking at so you dont get ripped off ,It does happen unfortunately
Who ever you get to install it ask them if they mind coming with you to select one as they will know what to look for .
And at least if its a dud motor Mikes wont give you crap if the 'tuner' was with you in the beginning when you swop it back

Yip, 250 fly kw on stock internals is fine. Your injectors just wont last more than 220kw on the fly also a upgraded clutch will be needed.
Cooling also becomes a issue, so you will need to upgrade the intercooler. Stock intercooler is very poor, even for just a stock SR20 motor transplant.
Biggest thin is to try and stick with the stock management of the sr20 motor. Big hassle to get it wired up, ask Riekert! My tuner coudnlt get it right.
But if your planning future mods then stick with a local brand like dicktator or OBD (I think thats the name, RB25SX uses those systems, heard they are very good!)
If you want proper tuner doing your mapping, go to OPD. Theo that use to work at Goch and Cooper is there now (caual basis). Only person I would trust to do my mapping!
For doing the motor transplant, If I could do it again, I would do it myself! Its easy enough! Wiring and tunning use OPD (theo).
Thats my 2c.....if you have any Q's just ask.
