I have sets of mint condition stock RB26 pistons, the perfect cure for the RB25 guys with soft pistons, the RB26 stock piston is said to be allot stronger than the RB 25 ones.
6x pistons = R1500
Also have some conrods, on the uk site guys run them past 600HP
6x rods = R1500

Just if u didnt know, the comp height of the RB26 piston is 1mm lower than RB25. U can use it but comp will be very low, or u will have to skim the block to compensate.

i know the RB25 is 9:1 and the RB26 is 8.5:1 so would using the RB26 in a RB25 make it 8.5 or lower?

The rb26 piston compensates for longer crank stroke with a 1mm lower comp hight. Not sure if u will have 8.5:1 if u fit it in RB25. Depends on piston dome volume. If u work out from 8.7:1 less 1mm gives u 8:1 on RB25 (86 bore X 71.7 stroke)(16cc dome, 64cc head), so it might be a bit low. Can compensate with 0.5 off head or block to give 8.3:1

ja that is a bit low but if you get the rb26 crank as well then you are fine

Yes, should be fine with crank. RB26 rods are also stronger than RB25 (same lenth).

No problem, this is good info for future buyers……
So with the lower compression and stronger pistons I guess one could up the boost a bit more.
