Depent on the size of your hammer.
Youll have to take the manifold off. I just removed the actual butterflies ,the shaft is still there cause i didnt feel like plugging holes as well.

In the graph with the butterflies, were the butterflies being actuated? Or were they just sitting there shut?

Problem with that graph is they are comparing stock head with butterflies against a modified head with butterflies removed...
Also they dont say if they were even at all controlling the butterflies.
Pointless comparison if you ask me...
