Ill post pics tomorow. You aim the lazer at where you want to measure the tempreture example your sump and youll get a temp reading. Its handy when you want to check the temp deference between your cylinders.

i own and carry out infrared thermography which incorporates the picture and temperature and displays it on my screen!!!! Handy tool but expect to pay around the R300 000 mark!!!! When you get it check that your emmisivity is at 0.96 and your reflective temp is at 20degrees otherwise you will get some very strange readings!!!

I dont think the tool im looking at is half as complex as the stuff you use :) ,i just want the get a temp reading without having to be able to touch the surface i want to measure.

If the unit you are buying does not have an emisivity level then you will get readings that are very far out!!!

Howmuch is far out? Im not looking for a unit that does a R300k job for R600, as long as it can do what i need it for. If its out by 20C it will be out by that much on all four wheels if i can quote VC.
