i put a cone filter on my car recently , this morning i took my car for a run to durbs , it was going great , after doing about 60km it started to feel slugish and didnt pull as strong as it did in the morning , could it be that the engin is sucking in to much hot air could that cause it , also when i put my foot down i think it back fired , what would cause this to happen???

yes that does happen, try moving the cone as far forward as you can or a cold air intake

well mine a daily driver i love it
i also got a cone and feel it slugish on a hot day goes beaqtuifull in the morning but hten engin bay heats up to 45-50 degrees or so gets tired im moving mine under the bumper today

i take it you have the stock intercooler

change that to a frount mounted intercooler look at my article page and see how to fit
then run another pipe from your air flow meter and go thru the opening where your old intercooler sat you need to cut bigger tho and then mount the cone there but please make sure you secure the cone well you dont want it falling off

Ya, that sounds like heat soak. A FMIC does help and I'm sure a cold air intake would help aswell, but being a turbo engine they do generate alot of heat. Water/meth would probably work best to combat this.
