Oil leak - oil pressure switch??

Post by Gary57 »

Found something very disturbing. Looked under my car and its full of oil :( . I am guessing its leaking from the oil pressure switch. Do I have to get the switch from Nissan  or is there any other one I can fit??

not sure. maybe your local parts agent has something for you?

but at least you know where your oil is going!!! how can an engine use up 3 litres in a few months without smoking, and without leaking???

actualy I'm not 100% shure if its the right one. I replaced the one that was on it and looks exactly the same. half the switch is blue plastic. don't know if its the same as urs? I can't find the packaging. can't tel u the make.

its got engraved on it 0.40 or 0.04. I think that's the preasure which it activates at.
who had the nissan database? maybe ask him to check the part number...
