Advice required on S14 200SX upgrade

Post by qewrty »

Hi everyone.

Sorry I haven't introduced myself on the forum before just rambling on about my problems but I figured I'd just jump in and start making up for not joining the forum sooner. ;)

I have a stock 200SX S14 with just under 160kkms on the clock. My turbo is starting to go so I thought I'd sort out a few other things in the process.

Basically I'm looking to end up with a daily driver and occasional track car (and eventually a bit of drifting if I win the lottery). I prefer fast spool up times and little/no lag so at this stage I'm thinking of going for a GT2871R or a T3/T4 combination (with small AR's etc or other mods to reduce power and fight lag/spooltimes).

Either way I also need/want:

- FMIC and/or water/meth injection
- 76mm exhaust
- CAI CDA
- bigger injectors (550cc)
- ECU (looking at perfectpower xms)
- petrol pump & fuel/water lines
- bigger oil cooler

(if u have any new/2nd stuff to sell from the list or for S14 pm me)

I have a few quotes but only thecalibrator's quote impressed me. I want to make sure I check all channels and get as many quotes/opinions before I decide - it is a lot of money and more importantly I love S14!!!!!!

A third option to just fix & modify the turbo, will save me a bundle on the turbo; then when i do an engine rebuild i can slap the bigger turbo on. Reason: the above wishlist + turbo upgrade is just barely over my budget if i get the best of the best it seems.

So if you know of anyone who would like to quote me the above please PM their details. They must know the S14 & know the perfectpower XMS system or they must willing to work the calibrator so he can do that bit.

Also PM me or post here info retailers or other sources for 200SX S14 parts. I know for instance CRS can do custom coilovers for S13 & S14..

Thnx guys and I hope to see at the next event!!! (which is when btw, I only reg'd now and missed the braai & fix)

Howdy!

Welcome to the board.

IIRC Phinx has a T28 that he's flogging in the R3k bracket...

Thnx :D

I already replied to that ad, if its worth it (better than my stock S14 turbo and can more or less fit) it's probably mine :)

heh - so basically you want your cars to be the same as mine :)

if you got msn contact me on riaana at mundane.co.za and i can tell you what i've got etc etc

I would totally ditch the idea of a T3/T4 - rather get a 2871 with a .64 AR - low lag and 400hp ;)

Howdy dude.

At the end of the day it all depends on how much money you have.
And thats the honest truth.

Thnx Phinx

Dislex666, sounds about right..

GT2871R .64 AR here we come :)

This is a pretty big upgrade seeing as I'm covering: intake/intercooler/turbo/exhaust/management system but it sure is going to be worth it.

I almost want to start celebrating and organising meets but obviously at this stage I can only dream.
