Hi guys I need some expert advice, is it possible that if you weld on a turbo that the seals can collapse when it comes under boost ?

Shouldn't you bolt that on???

Hehe mate if you have the time one day you have to come have alook at what we had to do to make this turbo fit mate.
Firstly I had to modify the bracket for the wastegate because it didn't go with the way I had to turn the turbo to fit on to the manifold.

Secondly the down pipe flange did not fit on the turbo and I had to get a new flange made and on that the down pipe needed to be welded on, I DID NOT DO THIS MYSELF and without thinking the guy welded the pipe on without taking it off the turbo.

Then when I drove it the seal collapsed and the turbine is loose in the barrel of the turbo. This is what I think happened, I still have to confirm this by taking the turbo off AGAIN
