if a sx is lagish til about 3000rpm and the just goes like hell afterwards wot can it be?
i have tried a few things but cant seem to get it right
can i just have ur views pls guys

and you havent even checked the timing yet...and the plugs are looking worse for wear.
theres no miricle answers here my friend

I'd say double check the 8 port diaphram, also make sure timing is spot on, I've had that... timing was out by one tooth

Sokar says (well he would) stop being a lazy git and eliminate the 1st options...did you test it after you stole my coil? nope...you havent (because you cant) checked the timing, mani gaskets?? what about checking the ECU for fault codes?
BASICS BASICS BASICS!!! once you eliminated those then post on the forum for advice on how to check the efficiency of the hamsters running on their wheels in the exhaust or what have you

Hehe.
Well the guys have pretty much covered, timing will make a car feel laggy, since you dont have a cover I'd definately check that first, beg borrow and steal, make it happen.
I dont think the butterflies will make a huge diff if they stay open all the time.

it won't perform under 3000, its lag.
