For Summer

Howzit Guys

I just want to let the club in on something I found might be old information but since we are heading towards summer and the temperature in increasing it might help.

Ever since I started modifying I have had issues with cooling I want my oil temperature between 80C and 95 degrees now the car would stay at around 87C in traffic and if you pushed her temps would go through the roof sometime as high as 100 degrees C then slowly work it way down now both CA18DET I have both came with the stock 82 degree thermostat on Friday I went to Value Motor spares and bought a “5224” 74 degree C thermostat for R40 and it made a world of difference the car now sits at 75 degrees in traffic and when I push her she spikes to around 95 but cools down quicker so any one looking for a little more cooling here is a cheap alternative

But I still want to upgrade my cooling system a little more just to be on the safe side because it takes her long to shrug off the excess heat when boosting
