Engine temperature sensors

Post by Gary57 »

Hey guys

Does anyone know what the differences are between the different colour engine temperature sensors that fit Nissans??

I know if I fit a red, brown or blue sensor to a sx the stock computer give an error code, fit the stock yellow sensor and it is fine.

Does anyone have the voltage output/calibration tables of any of these sesnors??

Cheers

the book says
temperture resistance
20degree aprx 2.5 ohms
80degree aprx 0.3 ohms

check to see that sensor you using is not damaged

Poizen please dont try lecture me how to check if the sensor I have is correct.

I am simply asking if anyone know what the difference in the sensors are?? I have taking a red sensor out of a car and fitted a yellow one and it works, I checked the red sensor and it was good. I have had 3 or 4 sx with this same problem, change to the yellow sensor and all is good.

I dont have a SX with this problem now I just want to know what the difference between these sensors are. Also I want the calibration tables if any has please.
