Injectors

Post by boltz »

My injectors became little fountains over the wknd, i ordered new injectors and they came this afternoon, but they were the wrong ones they dont fit and the wiring is all different, needless to say im fairly sad cause most car places are now closed and i cant track any other parts down, looks like my baby is down for a couple of weeks. :( if anyone knows where i can find replacement injectors, does not matter if they are bigger im gonna chip anyway, please let me know.

Remember boltz, if you put in bigger injectors you need to remap.

yup red the other forums, mostly the one with toby and his probs. all i basically need to know is where can i get them, my last option is nissan  they were like 1500 each but i needed adapter plugs and some mods to the wiring harness were needed, needless to say i was less than keen, so i gave the back. the car is going to perfect power in jan to get tweaked in any case so bigger injectors not a prob, just not like 750cc things

Ive got CA and SR injectors in stock, 450cc CA's and 550 and 750 SR ones,

All direct fit, no changing of anything, SR20 injectors going bad is pretty common.

Look on my site for prices.

No changing of anything? Are you joking? You don't carry 370cc injectors for CA18, so any other size will need an ECU remap, a piggy back, or a complete new fuel management system like Dictator.

Can you get 370cc injectors at less than what Nissan charges?

I can get stock size CA injectors for u, i think they about R2200 for the set of 4 with flow chart, email me if ure interested. ian@rezlo.com

The 450's i sell will require a piggyback or some form of managment, i ment direct fit as in you dont need to change any hardware to make them fit into the fuel rail or injector plugs :)

so Toby, can you remap for 450's yourself? I still need to make up my mind about which injectors to get...

Not yet, I need an EPROM programmer and eraser. These are too expensive to buy, so I need to either make one, or borrow one...

Then of course I need the bigger injectors to play with, to see if I can make them work. Need to borrow these as well.

Then finally, I need a working car to try all of this on :-)

Unfortuatly i can only get 440cc direct fit CA18 injectors, so it will need to have a piggy back or stand alone in it to run them properly.

Sorry about that.

quick question - if i'm gonna have to upgrade to bigger ones and do all the remapping etc, why not go even bigger than that? do it once then its done with, otherwise i'm gonna have to change again later on? anyone?

You can't go too big and still keep the standard fuelling, because then the injectors would be on for too short a time. There's a minimum time the injector should be open, and for a given amount of fuel, the bigger the injector, the shorter the amount of time it should be open for.
