New Turbo

Post by Riekert »

How does this sound?

"SR20DET/CA18DET upgrade, street application. A/R 0.49
This turbo is designed for 1.6–2.0L engines and features a T25-size exhaust flange. This makes it ideal as an upgrade turbo for CA18-DET or SR20DET engines*. Rated at 280hp,A/C is 0.49. it is suitable for street performance applications. It features water cooling and a removable three-bolt exhaust flange.
Tested on a CA18 at *** Dyno, it produced 206kW at the wheels with 16psi of boost. The standard internal wastegate is designed to hold 11–12psi."

Its a GT28RS Ball Bearing turbo...

The man is down in the dumps man!

cut him some slack, that turbo will do for what he is going for, he doesn't need some super maguber of a fat turbo!

Riekert that will do fine for you!

Well its basically a T28 plus its brand new. I can get a reconed T28 from a NZ s14... but how long will that last me? And I don't think the power will be that different...

i've seen guys running t3/t4's on ca18's and it works for them.

and i've driven my ca18det without a turbo (it was installed but couldnt spin) so basically it was without a turbo at all!!!

they both worked. so what are your goals for the turbo? what do you expect to gain/lose from installing it?
