I have been running my car on lead replacement from day one.... Is that a problem? Is unleaded better? Am I gonna break something if I keep filling up with lead replacement??

Holy crap! get rid of that LRP stuff. Put in a tank of ULP 95, run it like that for a day or so, then unplug your battery over night, your ECU will re-set and will "learn" how far it can advance timing on the 95. Free performance!

Your ECU has a knock sensor attached to it, everytime you climb on boost it will advance the timing slightly (one or 2 degrees) until it detects too much knock, it then pulls it back again, it stores these values and doesnt advance timing past that point anymore, if you reset the ECU it will learn this threshold again, since you will be running on 95, you should be able to run a little more timing and get a little more performance... Not like 20 kw more, maybe 3 or 4, but hey, its free!

Would this work on my car which has a dastek unichip? My car has never liked 95 unleaded, it doesn't idle well. 93 ul is ok.

I dont understand why this issue must be so complex? What for? I took my sx to MAUS performance- leading Nissan Specialists in SA.Easy.Drive one tank with unleaded 95, took the sx to them to dyna tune. And it is working fine since unleaded petrol was available. And as with the previous post, I have a unichip fitted.
What can be so difficult about this? I just dont know why so called maccies or no maccies , who gives such advice are giving such advice. Will the different schools ever stop?
