I need an engine temperature sensor. Do you guys think it’s necessary to have one?

yes its necessary - specially if you're running stock management.

not sure where to get one other than nissan though. probably an autozone or midas, i'll bet that the sentra ca18 water temp sensor works perfectly!

You can get it from midas and auto zone....take the sample....
