Tail lights on ebay

I know I know, it has been discussed quite a few times now...
Argument has gone around and around regarding headlights, taillights...
hell there was even a post that I started to make some lights locally.
But I have finally decided to buy them on ebay.
I didn't go for the Kouki's but rater the Altezza black tail lights.
I don't think paying $499.99 for tail lights can be justified, so I went for the ones that cost $89.99.
For anyone that also want to go the Altezza tail light route, here are the costs involved:
As mentioned $90 for the lights R656
Shipping $80 (UPS expedited (2-5 days)) R583
Duties are 15% of the invoice value (thus $90) R98
Vat is calculated as ((Invoice value +10%) + duties) R114
Lights will cost me R1460
I ordered from a user called Motor Mayhem.
I should have the lights by 6 February 2008

Hey Vc, what lowering springs have you got now? and what is the drop...
If I am right, you don't have coil overs right???

nope - i've got eldorado park specials.
and the drop is basically as low as i could go!
its probably around 70-80mm! maybe even more!
my front crossmember is only a few cm's off the ground.
and i have to use two jacks - a scissorjack first, because the hydraulic jack wont go under the chassis rails or the front crossmember!
it looks cool, handles fantastically, but makes life quite difficult for normal road use!

Schweet...
What about comfort given up with your Eldo's conversion?

man, you have no idea.
i'm actually thinking of buying some tien lowering springs. that will raise my car up again, so i shouldnt have tie rod breaking problems anymore. and it will greatly increase the comfort level.
at the moment its friggin hard. you feel every little bump in the road.
i've driven, and been driven in, a few cars (s13, s14, r33 skyline and rx7 fd3s) with tien coilovers. the basic coilover system, the superstreet coilover system and the drift spec coilover system.
i would compare my current comfort level with the drift spec coilovers, which are probably the stiffest spring rate you get. its hardcore, and awesome for a track car, but not so lekka for an everyday car!

What about the Megan springs Rezlo sells?
What is the price difference for Tein springs (I assume you are not going for adjustable coils)

apparently megan stuff is quite good.
havent looked for reviews though! but its a good idea!

Oh... so it might not be a bad idea to buy the Megans?
I was sceptical as it sounds like an uptight rich girl...
R2 000 and drop is 40-45mm (1.75")

Spring rate is 350F 250R - I don't know whether this is stiff or not, and how the ratings work

warning on those altezza lights - bigmike sez his one's clear cover fell off sometime and he had to take the rest off... sooo maybe use some stickystuff to help the covers stay on... sad really - i like the look

350 and 250 what???
what is that rating??? sounds almost imperial??? imperial sucks, means nothing to my metric mind!

It sounds imperial, pounds per inch of compression maybe... but then again... what do I know... I am asking the question...
What is stiff in metric terms

Widow, please don't come back with a comment like:
"...you know the rate of stiffness in matric when you can't fall off your bed..."
although now I have slammed myself...
