as far as i'm concerned, every single sx in this country except for the automatic ones, have a viscous limited slip diff installed. what daniel called the VLSD.
these are great for stock cars or cars that dont see serious track usage. but they could be better once you really get to an advanced level of driving!
that is why people installed 1.5 way or 2 way mechanical LSD's when building track and drift cars.
1.5 way means it locks fully on acceleration, and partially on deceleration.
a 2 way LSD means it locks fully on both acceleration and deceleration.
daniel is right again - jack the rear up off the ground and turn one wheel. watch that the other one turns in the same direction. then its LSD.
or look out for an orange sticker on the diff housing. this is also an indication of it being a VLSD!!!
the benefits are a more controlled rear end that handles far better than an open diff, and one that you can slide with confidence!
