To Dastek or not to Dastek?
Hi there fellas
I know that Draco advised me to go to Maus for dyno tuning, but i work in Boksburg and live in PTA so time is a luxary. Dastek opposite Waterkloof AFB is on my way home so it would be convenient for me to take it there. I would just like to know how you guys feel about there work seeing that im new at this sh*t.

Um....ask Johansx....the reply to you question is rather not.....to justify your answer, phone them and ask them if they know a 200sx....they did Johans car, they had the car for more than a week to fir a aftermarket manifold and dina it, the turbo was not bolted properly Johan had to do it himself, was leaking, they could not give him printouts of the dina or what the result was.....
Also remember, you are going to need a day to do this at maus...because you have to wait for a while, rather make an appointment and leave the car there...

That is about the going rate, as for the pump it is advised to upgrade, the standerd pump is known to fail with minor upgrades and standard sometimes, as for the FPR, there is a small trick to increase FP but again it is the better root to have a aftermarket relieble FPR.
Just for the record, I have "tricked" mine and I boosted 1.4 at a stage and then back to 1.2 and 1 and now 0.9 and it still workes fine, as I say if it is possible for you do it right from the start with the right bits.

I haven't heard many positive reports about Dastek, where there's smoke there's usually fire. Rather go standalone, more expensive but far more room to grow.
Edit: The above sounds quite harsh and i have no personal experience with Dastek, just saying you should do your homework.

Diesel power, hmm, yes, I think I'll have some of that.
