Would you suggest - X-force, or D spec or are there other Jap style boxes that look and sound good without hampering performance?

Ok let's rephrase a bit.

Of the local options, which are the best. I'm liking the X-force, but it's out of stock. And the price aint exactly attractive.

N1 mufflers from the states are failry cheap.

would you like me to take you to the F1-X factory, where you can get pretty much any muffler custom made for a lower price than any store will offer you, you muffler?

Pics or BAN! :!:

How much did it set you back in total and where did you get it.

TNT did a good job on my s13. I doubt you will find many exhaust places this time of year that are still open?

Abel doens't do mandrel bends last time I checked - that after his countless columns in SNS about how restrictive crush bends are etc etc.
I found his workmanship very dodgy and his after sales service rude and obnoxious. Made me come back three times before he fixed a fault on a system he installed on a previous car I had.
There was a clearance issue. His "fix" ended up being a 4 pound hammer and the result a heavily dented middle pipe covered up in black paint.

sounds like a fix to me :D

anyway, only been to him once and it was good.
cant vouch for off days
twas in the first years of having an sx, so they did the turbo gasket for me for cheap (if i take into account what effort it is - ive done it myself after that) and most importantly, i got the rest of the car back as it was before i took it in <---- very important part in my books

"making mechanics out of owners" doesn't always mean the cars break down a lot - in my opinion it means its a car that grows an affection so that you dont just trust anyone to fiddle with your baby

HOWS THAT!
